A busy week for dance!!!
For the next 8 weeks Gerald and Andrew will be teaching the International Flash Mob Dance from 6 – 8 at DancEnergy.  Lots of technique will be weaved into the lesson so it will be a GREAT way to practice.
(the demo starts at around 4 minutes).  $40 for the 8 weeks or $8 per evening to drop in.  INVITE YOUR FRIENDS!!!!

We will continue with our regular Practice Wednesday from 8:00 til 9:00 and then attend the dance until 10:00 for only $5. Where: DancEnergy, 1305 33 st NE

WCSwing Calgarys lesson this Friday at 7:30 at Haysboro will REVOLVE (pun intended) around – turns and turn technique (drills and more drills), frame (and some drills here too), and hand hold as we teach you to move thru your dance.
BEGINNERS – And this week we have Dave​ taking care of all of your friends that are new to WCS and want to come out and try the dance. Please share this invite with your friends, family, coworkers, cashier at the store, kids, etc. This dance is for everyone!!
The dance starts at 8:30.

This Friday Dave and Laurie will review TWO of the great techniques taught at ExtremeSwing.ca. Robert Royston shared Resisted Release (a feature of connection) and Deborah Szekely shared her technique for ‘6 and ah 1’. Dave and Laurie will tie these together and present them in moves you already know. Its going to be great fun!!

Also, put June 19 in your calendar. You want to wear WHITE and bring an appetizer or dessert!! We will have a fun drill for you at 7:30 and then the dance starts at 8:30. This is our Season End Party. We take a break for the summer but are having dances July 10 and Aug 7. And then we resume Sept 11 with Ben McHenry teaching the class!!

Back to June Andrew is having a dance June 20 with the lesson starting at 7:00.

I hope you’re having a great Tuesday. I’m still floating on the high from Free WCS Beginner Friday at Haysboro.  A wonderful crowd presented with great lessons from local pros Andrew Oprychal of ShokDance and Keith Armbruster.  Thank you both so much for volunteering your time towards our WCS community!!!!

First off – there is NO dance this Friday at Haysboro.  We are all attending Extreme Swing instead.  Next Friday June 12 Keith is teaching at Haysboro and then June 19 WCSwing Calgary hosts the season end WHITE PARTY.  Wear white and bring an appetizer or dessert.  A wonderful night of fun and dance.  Then we take a break until September 10.

We’ve got a busy WCS week ahead starting with

 – Wednesday Practice from 7 – 9 at DancEnergy.ca for just $5. My friend Larisa Tingle (amazing All Star dancer and popular DJ) from San Diego will be helping out and spinning tunes. – Thursday night at 7:00 pm Benji Schwimmer from So You Think You Can Dance fame will be teaching at Cowboys on behalf of ExtremeSwing.ca.  $10 in advance or $15 at the door gets you the lesson and dancing for the night. Keith has coordinated with their DJ so the main style of music will be WCS.

– Friday evening ExtremeSwing begins at 6 pm.   See http://www.extremeswing.ca for all the details.  At 7 pm there is a FREE FREE FREE WCS class taught by the amazing Robert Royston.  You want to invite ALL your friends.  It is an amazing opportunity to have a free lesson from one of the WORLD’s WCS best.
